"'The Soirée by Amanda Huotari is a totally engrossing, ravishing, one woman tour de force. Amanda's deft ability to play multiple characters and switch them in an instant is reminiscent of the great Carol Burnett. "Soirée" is part clown show, part stand up, part audience involvement all bound together using the metaphor of a party; the audience are the guests. As simple accidents, trips and spills evolve into hilarious mayhem, this wonderful, skilled performer has complete control of her misbehaving props, evocative wardrobe and hysterical audience. The show ends with one of the most real, touching and poignant love stories that I have experienced in many years. I thoroughly recommend this show."

“Amanda Huotari's "Soirée" must be like Draper onstage. Utterly classy comedy, in a narrative at once eliciting screams of laughter and, then at its lovely ending, taking our breath away.”
Judith Jerome
Stonington Opera House
"The show was delightful - an electric combination of physical comedy, audience engagement, verbal wit and surprising pathos that allowed an excellent opportunity for our acting students to witness inventiveness, bravery, humor and commitment onstage and in the moment."
